Vaclav Havel became the last and the first, president. Yes, of Czechoslovakia, and of the Czech republic, and in the years after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and continuing into the 90's; a new brave Germany, a new brave Czechia, a new brave Slovakia.
And, as always, 'the same procedure as last year, James'? Yes, and as always, 'the same procedure as every year, madame!'
Of the 'power of the powerless' Vaclav Havel is said to have written. And Hannah Arendt wrote of 'those who belong, and those who don't', and this in spite of a husband of her's, the German poet and Marxist philosopher Heinrich Blücher, pointing her to that particular quality of Adolf Eichmanns', to always have been doing nothing but his duty, nothing more or different (*).
(*) Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil (1963).
To always do what the collective, to always do what the ones in charge suggest, expect, ask for, and demand.
And, according to Hannah, those who do not belong are found quite simply by just checking with ones friends, and ones own insides. Hannah's husband suggested Adolf Eichmann was in fact innocent, this as he was only doing his 'job', in his case a 'job' built on killing humans. Yes, Eichmann is said to have murdered masses, yes quite many, jews.
And, in what way was this job different from that of a butchers or hangman? According to Hannah's husband in no way is it different.
And according to Hannah, it is different. This as Hannah accept what the butcher is doing, accept what the hangman does, and still does not accept what Eichmann did. No one can accept, no individual, no group exist, accepting that which Eichmann did. This is what Hannah says. Still, when Eichmann did what he did, there were quite many german nazi officials, sharing Eichmanns view. And, quite many not very 'official', also. And not only in Germany, but also in Sweden, and probably pretty much every other country that got the chance.
What Hannah says is this; I do understand that his (Eichmanns) job was (to a part) to kill humans. I do understand that humans do as they are told. And I do understand that humans do what culture and upbringing imprint in them, too. And, still, what Eichmann was free to do, was to walk away. To refuse to partake.
And, that he did not do.
And, what about Hannah? Did she walk away from 'her' jews and their view that Eichmann need be killed? No, in the end she did not.
So, what she says when accepting the killing of Eichmann, is this. No culture should ever be allowed, which culture is based on an idea of systematic killing of minorities. Yes, this is what she says. And, is this not what the ones in power has been always doing? To kill off minorities, when things are bad, and this to focus that irritation present in a country, when things are bad, to 'something else'.
First identify a 'mirror image' pretty much alike that which You and we are, but still in some way or another different. Then harass this mirror image, make life really really bad for these, and why not kill off some of them, too. And, what do the citizens standing outside of that 'almost mirror image' of themselves then feel? Thank God it wasn't me! Thank God these were to suffer, and badly. Because I have suffered badly, too. And the ache I feel in my own wounds and body, somehow get less bad, when seeing this my mirror image suffer.
So, when such harassment and killing is, it makes people less apt to opposition, and to en extent also more calm, almost well at ease. Because, someone else took on part of the pain I felt, someone else suffered, and suffered badly. Yes, heshe in fact died. And, quite many of them, so enough? Yes, enough, for now.
And, do humans become irreparably damaged, from partaking in such bloodbaths and killings? Did Eichmann kill very many more people, when in Brazil? Well, not as it is known, no.
So, Hannah by accepting Eichmanns execution (1962, in Israel) says this; we, the jewish people, ache. And we need see someone dead, for that ache to go away.
Mariah Carey, 'The Art of Letting Go'. And what a fitting dress, to accompany
talks of mass murder and the execution of Adolf Eichmann. Yes, half dressed
she is, when singing of retribution. And, in spite of her words, she sings very
much and unusually, beautifully. Yes, in spite of, not disregarding.
And did Eichmanns death help the pains held within the jewish people? Yes,
for a time it did, and for some. For most jews, it did not.
But then, there is the issue of power, and tension, and politics. Israel is
superimposed on the map, in the middle east, some say. Do they? Yes, I just
said so. And, carrying that in ones backpack require measures to be taken, so
as to demonstrate to ones neighbouring countries, one will not take being
disrespected, treated badly, very lightly.
And, yes, this is why Eichmann had to die, too.
And even more so as the jewish people, as are all 'large groups of people',
to a pretty great extent 'of the female'. Yes, as in 'of emotion'. And, here is
where Hannah Arendt and her husband Heinrich differ. Hannah carries the
pain of the jewish people inside her emotions and feelings, to far a greater
extent than what does Heinrich. Yes, this 'emotional pain' is felt not only
by the individual, but also by ours as 'group and social context'. And,
more by the female.
...
And, I feel so, too. Yes, Adolf Eichmann had to disappear, vanish from Earth.
And I can feel part of this pain of the jews in my own body, too. It is not to
be allowed for anyone, to be so 'foolish', as Adolf claimed to be. It is not very
difficult to 'see' that the person next to You has the same arms, the same body,
the pretty much same thinking, pretty much 'same relavites and friends' and
also pretty similar thresholds for physical and emotional pain, as do You.
No, it is not.
As much as I do understand that Your life is not mine, and mine not Yours
I also understand that we are, You and me, pretty much of the same.
We have written, elsewhere, on the subject of 'compassion'. We then stated
compassion to be the ability to feel, also what others feel, and that in both
ones mind and emotional self. And when empathy is paired with action,
then, and not before, compassion is.
So, the killing Adolf Eichmann was an act of compassion, then?
Hmmm.
The death of another human being, two- four or six legged, is not to joke about,
and not ever.
Not even to make the reader, get back to 'being awake'?
Well, hmmm, no, yes, possibly then.
And, only possibly, and used only with the utmost discretion.
Yes, just as we did, here above, right now.
Hmmm.
People always do what they are told, and what they are told is always in congruence with what the individual, group and/ or party of power, says. Yes, for a time this is so. And then that which is in power changes, and what people are told to do change, too.
Why was not Joseph McCarthy killed in the USA? Well, Adolf Eichmann did his job. And Joe McCarthy 'invented' his job. Yes, in the same way Adolf Hitler invented his job, and in the same way Lenin and Stalin and Mao did that same thing, too. These were 'foreground', part of that which was 'dominant social design'. Adolf Eichmann was not.
Exactly how does the 'threshold' look, sifting those that
have to die, from those that do not?
Yes, then there was 'me too', and me, and You. But, not very much me. This as I was built to be one of these that do not fit in and do not accept, one that do not always swim with the stream but instead swim upstream, if only when needed to.
Yes, that treat many sing of and praise, and pretty few wish to have. And sometimes also not me. No, I am not always fond of being constantly questioning, constantly and always measuring and comparing what I see with my own 'moral golden thread'. But, pretty often, most of the time, I still do it.

No, I do it all of the time. This as I am bult this way. But, some of the time my strength, my stance, and/or my ability to think clear, are not enough. Or, my 'position of power' is not enough, and I am therefore quiet. But, only for a while. Only until I find myself in a better position.
This is how the 'agent for change' works, in our societies. And, the reason for (some) people to be built in the way I am, is to enable a better working society, as a whole. We, us humans, evolve, and as we evolve, we also change. Societal patterns then also have to change. Societies and social patterns change slowly, this as these are built on 'efficient distributions of power' and mechanisms aimed at preserving that which is, mechanisms that work pretty slowly.
And, societies are always right.
And, societies are always right.
So, when an agent for change, regardless of peaceful (as Gandhi), quiet and still peaceful (as myself), or of any other form inducing change, need there is to be cautious. Well, enough said , for now, on this subject of the different shapes and roles us humans take, in the societal weave.
...
And what about that young turk movement of the Ottoman Empire in the beginning of the 20th century, and the Armenian holocaust (genocide) where due to some reason a million or a bit more than that, armenians, were deported to the 'land beyond'? Yes, that land that exist beyond the rainbow and above all clouds. And the means used, not very different from those used by the nazi's in the 1930's and 40's Germany. Poison gas, tyfoid innoculations, the mass drownings of children and females in the Black Sea near Trabzon, in 1915.

In what way did the 'young turks movement' and the Tehcir law of 1915 differ from that in some ways pretty similar looking bolshevik movement or that also pretty similar looking nazi and nazi jugend movement, or that also similar looking sinhalese Sri Lankan cleansing from tamil's, in the 1970's and 80's? Or that pretty similar looking right now ongoing 'cleansing' in Malaysia or that pretty similar, also right now ongoing, 'cleansing' of Burma, or that pretty similar looking cleansing of Uganda by Idi Amin, or the pretty similar looking cleansing by Pinochet in Chile. Or the pretty similar looking cleansing in the Philippines by Ferdinand Marcos and by Corazon Aquino?
Or that pretty similar looking cleansing of the European mainland now in its' beginning, where 'low producing' countries such as Greece, Romania, Italy, Spain, France, Ireland and others are right now about to be placed into an 'inferior division' of nations, with economies based 'too much' on low income yielding and large agricultural sectors?
And, what comes next? Merkel entering as EU president, then focusing well behaving EU nations and citizens 'evil eye' toward countries and factions too low producing to really 'count', to really measure in, to be noteworthy.
No, quite possibly, not.
Angelas' education and background is pretty unusual. Angela was, as we all know, born in Hamburg, West Germany, and after that spent the first three decades of her life in Eastern Germany, in the small town of Templin (north of East- Berlin), in Leipzig and in East-Berlin, where she worked and studied at the Central Institute for Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences in Berlin-Adlershof from 1978 to 1990. After being awarded a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) for her quantum chemistry thesis (*) ,she worked as a researcher and published several papers.

So, Angela should be pretty well versed with regard to how to correctly assess and time 'decay', the mechanisms at work? And, are the mechanisms of 'decay' in Europe, EU, so different from those observed when looking at decay of matter, and from a quantumchemical standpoint?
Angela is the daughter of a german pastor (Horst Kasner) with her mother (Herlind) oddly born in that at the time 'pretty free' German town of Danzig, and a teacher of English and Latin. Yes, Danzig later once again became Polish, and is today named Gdansk (Gdynia). Angela Merkel was born in 1954, which time must have been a pretty good time to be born at, in Western Germany.
And she had a pretty sound and safe childhood, in Eastern Germany, being the daughter of a clergyman, in the then communist East Germany, and from pretty close after her birth in 1954, and to 1989? No, it was probably not that way. Being a clergyman in Eastern Germany and intently moving there from Hamburg, in 1954. Still, this is what Angelas father and family did, in 1954.

And so, Horst Kasner must have been a pretty strong man! And even more so, being able to persuade a wife accustomed to the ways of the 'free Danzig' of the 1920's and (in part) 1930's, to move to Eastern Germany, in 1954. One may wonder what did Angelas' mother say to her husband during those not very well known 'Kasner kitchen talks' over dinner, before the couple took the decision to venture from the 'free', very quickly rebuilt and growing in wealth West German Hamburg into then not very free, and poor, Templin, of Eastern Germany.
This text risk getting boring. How about some 'gravity',
to make things less grave? Sara Bareilles, 'Gravity'.
Sharon Robinson, 'Invisible Tattoo'.
Ellie Goulding, 'Hanging On'.
An unusual background she has, Angela Merkel. And, one gets curious, one wish to know more of how does her 'human thermometer' work.
Why?
Because any macro economist should be able to inform You that what we see today in EU, is inevitable. We saw it in the USA, already in the beginning of the 20'th century or so, where poorly producing states (Montana, Idaho, etc) became even more poor and more empty of people.
Why?
Because of the disparity between how much was, then, paid for corn grown in the US Corn Belt in the southeastern states, which was pretty much more as compared to how much was, then, paid for corn or wheat grown in Montana. Well, the price was probably pretty much the same, per unit measured, but the soil of the corn belt states offered only so much higher yield.
And so, those states where corn grew fast, beautiful and high became rich, and the states where it did not became less rich, and pretty empty of people.
And 50 years later or so, in Europe, those states where was the 'asset' of a well educated, highly interested in working and work ethic labour force prominent, these states became only so much richer in income per capita, this as compared to states producing poorly paid agriculture. Poorly paid as we have too much wheat, too much potatoes, too much gherk and far too few german automobiles and high quality steel.
Yes, for a time that is so.
Yes, for a time that is so.
So, the same story as already seen in USA, but the other way around. And, everyone should be in the know. Yes, any and every macro economist in Europe present should be able to 'see' this.
Hmmm.
And, this has to do with that 'parity between production assets' that always is. And that parity tells us everything will, eventually, always be of the best possible, and for everyone. Human beings that prefer a specific combination of clean air, hamburgers, less or more sadistical political and other power pressure, big or small refrigerators and cars will always place themselves to Montana, this as they are never willing to forget that beautiful land with its' blue mountains in the distance and its' wide plains. Yes, or to Tokyo, because we love its' pulse and 'vigor' of 'youth'.
So, we combine a production parity, with a consumption preference?
Yes, we do. This is what we call to 'give' and to 'take', and the other way around. Everything for everyone as much as possible and according to our level of knowledge, location, and personal preference.
And that preference is 'typed' into ourselves using pretty much time. Yes, our entire life up and until this very day. And the 'types' used in this particular machine are of names such as family, culture, income, ability to think abstract, ability to use ones body, and a lot of other things, not the least also including a very personal and individual 'sifting mechanism'.

And, this is the reason why Sweden did not join the EU monetary union?
Yes, it probably is.
Why Sweden has done pretty well in those glorious 'Reinfeldt and Borg years' in which Swedes do currently live is due to and the effect of some pretty good thinking, where Reinfeldt and his team judged it 'viable' (better pay-off, and a task possible to carry through) to stay outside of the monetary union. And they after that undertake efforts to 'help' deteriorate the Swedish currency, this to 'bolster and boost' local production, in that we 'decay' peacefully, and to as low a cost (in every way possible), as possible.
And, in doing that, also allowing other western countries and people to 'decay' less 'peacefully'.
Yes, possibly.

How well does the transition go, when Eastern Europe gets even poorer and more empty, Greece and Spain and (to a part) Italy and France gets poorer and more empty, and Germany, the Nordic countries and a few more get richer and of more inhabitants, depend on the quantum chemist Angela Merkel, expert on decay, and some others.
Yes, that is probably so, to an extent.
The 'balance of power' in EU and Europe will be of interest to watch, in the next few years to come. And even more so, as the 'place' Europe is today, is what business educated people refer to, as a 'cash cow'.
One should not invest in Europe, but in China, or Brazil!
This is what the theory says. Invest in India, if only India could and would become more educated and docile. Invest in Indonesia, if and only if. But, never invest in a saturated cash cow country! Not unless You are stupid, You will not do such.
Because, a saturated company, a saturated market, a saturated economy, is apt to, about to, die.
Because, a saturated company, a saturated market, a saturated economy, is apt to, about to, die.
So, the saturated mature western 'blocks', EU and USA in particular, will have to see their income and population, decline?
Yes, and that will take a few decades, too, but not more.
And Angela Merkel may be pretty well versed both educationalwise and looking into her social programming, to see to it that 'decay' of the western world will not deteriorate into war and famine.
Let's hope so.
If someone else of power does not think it differently. There is the issue of power, remember? And, quite possibly, that issue is, with Angela, also. Who knows?

Ed Sheeran 'I See Fire' (from 'the Desolation of Smaug')
It is, same as always, that ring, that ring Tolkien wrote of, the ring of power. And are we not all intrigued, fascinated, transfigured, then controlled, by that same ring?
No, we are not.
But, the ones in power are!
Yes, there is a risk, of that.
This, as the drive for power is just that. A wish for power and then more, power.
Sadly, this is what history has shown us, so far, and all through all our history, and all through all our various civilizations, and times.
Power always look for ways to build more, power.
And, this does not look very good, at this time of events, on Earth.

According to Vaclav Havel there exist, inside of each human, a kind of 'golden thread' of thought, telling himher when things are getting 'too bad, too impossible to bear, too propostrous, ludicrously rediculous, unlikely or impossible, to cruel, with far too little food, far too little joy, far too little 'room' for 'individual transgressions'', to withstand.
Then, things change. And, in Czechoslovakia after the 1968 overturn by Soviet revisionist might fame and fortune searchers of the Czechoslovakian 'Prague Spring' things changed, too, in 1989 or so, when that same Vaclav Havel became president.
And in march 1967 the Velvet Underground&Nico reached place 167 in the music listings, in USA. And Vaclav Havel bought it and was so 'taken' by it, he claims this album to be the inspiration for him, to aim for the presidency of Czechoslovakia, in 1989.

And what did Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground and the female fashion model and singer name Nico (Christa Pfäffgen) 'show' Vaclav Havel?
Well, the record has a good title. The music there, however, is pretty poor. Nico could not sing very well, and neither could Lou Reed. And the melodies are very simplistic, not very original, and with a total lack of counterpoint or other musical 'drama'. And, that team of people in the Velvet Underground were not very well versed with guitars, nor drums, nor for that sake musical instruments of any other kind. The Velvet Underground&Nico was one of the better albums Lou Reed participated in doing, and still pretty 'not very much, at all'.
Yes, to my view, that is so. And to Vaclav Havel, it is not. So, Vaclav 'heard' things I do not hear? Yes, he must have. And, Vaclav Havel presumably liked that name, the 'velvet underground', too.
'The Velvet Underground & Nico', Andy Warhol and 'the Exploding Plastic Inevitable', the Beatles and 'Magical Mystery Tour', and all in 1967.
And 'the Fool on the Hill' was there in 1967, too! 'And, what about me', was heshe there, too? And, 'me too' was heshe there, too? Yes, perhaps it was that way, then already.
Then, as before, and after.

and by the Beatles, 1967.
And, what about me?
What about Lou Reed and the walk on the wild side? What about Lou's and his friend David Bowies songs? What about Lou Reeds 'Raven' and of the songs of these Spiders from Mars and Ziggy Stardust, that David sang about? And what about that other homo's, Edgar Allan Poe's 'the Raven', and all those other homosexuals and transgynists, drug addicts and other mental delinquents, and what about us?
And, what about that song by the Beatles, 'All You Need is Love', broadcasted to 400 million people, and also in 1967?
Yes, all of these and so much more, all of that and yet something different, and all put into that very same bucket of joy, and given free of charge, to You and me.
No, not free of charge. Nothing is free of charge. Vaclav Havel paid his USD to get that record by 'Velvet Underground', didn't he? And so, we all have to pay, in some or other way, to become of lesser understanding. Yes, lesser understanding, a state that comes after the lesser understanding that was, before. An understanding, lesser and partial, as always is. Lesser and partial, and very very valuable, too.
Yes, this insight is valuable, as what Vaclav 'saw' was the hand of that we here call 'the velvet underground'. He 'saw' the thaw in Russia and the eastern bloc. He 'saw', as in understood, what Mikhail Gorbachev, that guy with the mark on his forehead, was doing.
And he understood why was that recording by the 'Velvet Underground' with its' 'not all that' music placed into his hands. And after that Vaclav did a really good job when assisting in building a more open and humane Tzechoslovakia, and Tzech Republic.
And there was something with that record that Vaclav saw, and that I do not see.
Hmmm.
There exist in us humans as a collective, a kind of 'velvet underground'. When the pressure done by 'dominant design' - the ones in power - gets to be 'too much' , and for many enough 'alternate, smaller designs', then change will inevitably be.
That which Andy Warhol called the 'exploding plastic inevitable', that of which the ones familiar with law making say, 'when the law sees things differently from what does the common sense, common sense will remain and laws will be rewritten', was this what Vaclav was reminded of by Nico, 22 years or so, later, in 1989?
Yes, I suggest that may be 'pretty close'.
When many enough small streams of different opinion, the 'dominant stream and design' of that particular society and or country - the 'design' held by those currently in power -changes.
And Vaclav Havel, the not very hungry for power writer and poet decided to fill that space being opened, and became Czechoslovakias first president after Glasnost, in 1989. And part of the reason why he did so, was his understanding that he would do a better job for Czechoslovakia, a better job for all those artists, singers, composers and writers, a better job for those small and different and not very outspoken, a better job for those of lesser talent and of no power ambition, than would pretty many others interested in that particular job in Czechoslovakia, at that time.
Vaclav Havel, a humane human being! (**)
And, why did he (Andy Warhol that is) not paint an onion, insted?
Well, he was quite fond of painting Marilyn Monroe, wasn't he?
Promise, no more dust and no more history either, thank You! Dust, and history? What history? Isn't it all in the now, by now?
No, not nowadays it is not!
But, tomorrow!
And, in a 'wonderland' where wonder is, and everywhere and all the time.
No, sadly not.
We are what we are brought up to be. Our history is of war, and more war, and famine, and plague. And, our history is of Isaac Newton and Marie Curie, MLK and Olof Palme, and St Francis and Karol Voytyla.
Our history is of darkness, and light.
And when enough 'light', we get to 'see' and understand, better and more. No, we understand less less! And then we understand less and less. And that we have been doing now, for quite some time.
A rose of many colours.
When enough light, we will understand that there is never enough light. And when enough light, we will understand that we wish to share. Because no human is an island. Yes, because of that. And that knowledge need to be imprinted into our emotions, and the way we feel. Light, as in 'thinking ability' does not give enough of that knowledge. Light, or rather that we call clearlight, the ability to form good judgments, is also the ability to structure and build pyramids of power, and the wish to take a 'lofty' view of 'things'. And, so, clearlight does not give much drive for any genuine sharing?
Well, it depends.
Give, and take.
Give, and receive.
Give, and will to share.
And that is pretty much as it is, right here, and has been now for quite a while. Yes, for 12 creations and Earths, and pretty many Gods, too.
And then some more.
And, what about me?
Do I understand it such, that those eyes of Vaclav Havels' and Mikhail Gorbachevs', were good enough?
Yes, I do.

(**) On 29 December 1989, while he was leader of the Civic Forum, Havel became President of Czechoslovakia by a unanimous vote of the Federal Assembly. He had long insisted that he was not interested in politics and had argued that political change in the country should be induced through autonomous civic initiatives rather than through the official institutions. In 1990, soon after his election, Havel was awarded the Prize For Freedom of the Liberal International.
In 1990, Czechoslovakia held its first free elections in 44 years, resulting in a sweeping victory for Civic Forum and its Slovak counterpart, Public Against Violence. Between them, they commanded strong majorities in both houses of the legislature. Havel retained his presidency. Despite increasing political tensions between the Czechs and the Slovaks in 1992, Havel supported the retention of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic prior to the dissolution of the country. Havel sought reelection in 1992. Although no other candidate filed, when the vote came on 3 July, he failed to get a majority due to a lack of support from Slovak deputies. The largest Czech political party, the Civic Democratic Party, let it be known that it would not support any other candidate. After the Slovaks issued their Declaration of Independence, he resigned as President on 20 July, saying that he would not preside over the country's breakup.
However, when the Czech Republic was created as one of two successor states, he stood for election as its first president on 26 January 1993, and won. He did not have nearly the power that he had as president of Czechoslovakia. Although he was nominally the new country's chief executive, the Constitution of the Czech Republic intended to vest most of the real power in the prime minister. However, owing to his prestige, he still commanded a good deal of moral authority, and the presidency acquired a greater role than the framers intended. For instance, largely due to his influence, the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, successor to the KSC's branch in the Czech Lands, was kept on the margins for most of his presidency, as Havel suspected it was still an unreformed Stalinist party.
Havel's popularity abroad surpassed his popularity at home, and he was often the object of controversy and criticism. During his time in office, Havel stated that the expulsion of the indigenous Sudeten German population after World War II was immoral, causing a great controversy at home. He also extended general amnesty as one of his first acts as President, in an attempt to lessen the pressure in overcrowded prisons as well as to release political prisoners and persons who may have been falsely imprisoned during the Communist era. Havel felt that many of the decisions of the previous regime's courts should not be trusted, and that most of those in prison had not received fair trials. On the other hand, his critics claimed that this amnesty led to a significant increase in the crime rate. According to Havel's memoir 'To the Castle and Back', most of those who were released had less than a year to serve before their sentences ended. Statistics have not lent clear support to either claim.
In an interview with Karel Hvížďala (included in 'To the Castle and Back'), Havel expressed his feeling that it was his most important accomplishment as President to have contributed to the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact. According to his statement the dissolution was very complicated. The infrastructure created by the Warsaw Pact was part of the economies of all member states, and the Pact's dissolution necessitated restructuring that took many years to complete. Furthermore, it took time to dismantle the Warsaw Pact's institutions; for example, it took two years for Soviet troops to fully withdraw from Czechoslovakia...
...In April 2012, Havel's widow, Dagmar Havlová, authorized the creation of the Václav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent. The prize was created by the New York-based Human Rights Foundation and is awarded at the annual Oslo Freedom Forum. The prize "will celebrate those who engage in creative dissent, exhibiting courage and creativity to challenge injustice and live in truth." (source - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaclav_Havel)
